Installation
4.1
Receiving and Inspecting the Unit
a) Check all the volumes received, and see if they conform to the shipping company
invoice. Remove the unit package after arriving at the definitive installation site, and
remove all the protective covers. Do not discard the package, since it can be eventually
used to cover the equipment, protecting it from dust, etc., until the work and the
installation are complete, and the system is ready to operate. In case the unit has
been damaged, immediately file a claim to the shipping company and to Surrey.
b) Check if the power supply of the location is in accordance with the technical
characteristics of the equipment, as specified in the unit nameplate.
The nameplate is located on the outside, next to the refrigerant connections of the
units.
c) In order to keep the warranty, do not let the
heat exchanger and ventilation modules exposed
to bad weather or work accidents, arranging its
immediate transportation to the installation site
or to any other safe location.

General Recommendations
Prior to the installation, read these instructions with attention in order to familiarize
with the unit details. The unit dimensions and weights can be found in the technical
catalog. The following rules apply to all the installations.
a) First of all, refer to the Local Codes and/or Regulations applicable to the unit
installation, to guarantee it complies with the specified standards and requirements.
b) Plan carefully the positioning of the units to prevent them of interfering with other
existing (or projected) installations, such as: electric installation, water and sewerage
piping, etc.
c) Install the unit where it is free from obstructions to the air circulation, either at the
air outlet as well as at the air return.
d) Choose a location with enough space, which allows general repairing or servicing, as
for example, the cleaning of the air filters.
e) The location must allow the passage of the piping (system tubes, electric wiring and
drain).
f)
The unit must be properly level after its installation.
g) In case of built-in installations, it is necessary to provide trapdoors for servicing or
removing the equipment.
