5 Description
1
All unit functions are selected from the front keypad. The displays shows the pH
reading, the temperature set and the pH-meter status.

6 Operation
6.1 Placing batteries
•
Place the batteries on the rear side holder.
•
Check correct polarity.
•
If the pH-meter will no be used for a long time remove the batteries.
•
When message «LoBat» appears on the display, change the batteries.
6.2 Electrode connection
The electrode must be stored with its immersion cap fi lled with electrolyte.
Transport the pH-meter in the briefcase with the electrode unplugged, and the pH-
meter protected with the short-circuit connector.
To connect the electrode, remove the short-circuit connector from the pH-meter
and to connect the electrode.
Note: The BNC connectors are extracted and placed turning 1/4 turn.
Keep the electrode with its immersion cap until use.
The immersion cap contend KCl 1M as electrolyte which is cor-
rosive.
Take suitable cautions to avoid electrolyte be in contact with
skin or wear. Avoid any contact with eyes.
6.3 Keypad
Press Start/Stop to switch on the pH-meter.
Press, successively, «Mode» to select the different operation:
