Lory is a self-braking descender for single rope use and is

EN 341:2011 Class A, EN 12841:2006 Type C,EN 795:2012

While the first norm is meant for rescue purposes only the second
implies rope access. The last mentioned norm covers temporary
anchor devices. Additionally, only LorySMART is certified
according to the norm EN 15151-1:2012 as a belay device with
assisted locking.
