• Keep the timer control knob depressed until "00" disappears. When it has disappeared, the
internal hour meter will have been reset to zero.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• The polymerisation lamps' service life is limited. Optimum change is recommended every
500 hours, to a maximum of 1,000 hours of operation (see point 3 in this Instructions
Manual). Since the appliance uses two different types of lamps (S/71 and S/78), you must
specify the type of lamp in requests for spare parts. Talleres Mestraitua, S.L. recommends
that original MESTRA spare parts be used.
• The lamp types must be arranged alternately inside the polymerisation chamber.
• There is a fuse-holder on the left-hand side of the unit. The 2 amp fuse is to be changed as
required.
• The unit should be cleaned on a regular basis, using a cloth soaked in soapy water. The unit
should be disconnected from the power supply during this operation.
• The efficiency of the polymerisation lamp depends to a large extent on the clarity of the
polymerisation chamber, and so it is advisable to carry out periodic cleaning.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
♦ Connect the unit to 230 V, 50/60 Hz, with an earthing facility.
♦ Do not submerge the unit in any liquids for cleaning purposes.
♦ Do not use the Polymerisation Lamp in locations which are particularly humid, or next to
inflammable liquids (alcohol or solvents).
♦ The lamps must be changed with all due caution to prevent any breakage.
♦ Do not use the Polymerisation Lamp for any purpose other than polymerisation of Dental
Materials.
♦ Do not allow children or unqualified staff to handle the unit.
♦ Operations must be carried out at all times with the polymerisation chamber door shut.
Avoid all eye contact with the light emitted by the lamps, since ultra-violet radiation is being
produced, and this can damage eyesight.
