Whenever the machine is out of use for an extended period of time,
proceed as follows:
• Empty the fuel tank completely
• Protect all metal engine parts from corrosion by coating them with oil
• Remove the spark plug, put a few drops of oil into the cylinder and then
pull the recoil starter 2 to 3 times in order to distribute the oil evenly.
Replace the spark plug.
Never leave the tool running unattended
THIS PRODUCT PRODUCES POISONOUS EXHAUST
FUMES AS SOON AS THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. THESE
GASES MAY BE COLOURLESS AND ODOURLESS. TO
REDUCE THE RISK OF SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY,
NEVER RUN THE MACHINE INDOORS, OR IN POORLY
VENTILATED AREAS. ENSURE PROPER VENTILATION
WHEN WORKING IN TRENCHES OR OTHER CONFINED
SPACES.
• Always wait until the machine has come to a complete stop.
• Never leave the machine unattended when parts are still hot
• Never leave machine unattended within the reach of children.
Pressure washer safety
• Never direct the water jet at people or animals. The water jet is
extremely powerful, and can cause serious injury. Avoid directing the
water jet towards the engine or pump body.
• Always connect a continuous flow water supply to the pressure washer.
Running the pressure washer dry will cause permanent damage to the
pump.
• Ensure the water supply to the pressure washer is at a constant
pressure. If the water supply is "shared" by another appliance (e.g.
washing machine), ensure the other appliance is switched off.
• Handle the lance with care, do not allow the nozzle to strike the ground.
• The pressure washer should always be used in an upright position.
• NEVER connect the pressure washer to a hot water supply, this will
cause the pump to malfunction and result in permanent damage.
• Do not run the engine for more than 1-2 minutes without operating
the spray lance. Water circulating within the pump will rapidly become
overheated and cause damage.
• After use, the machine should be drained of all water to prevent
corrosion.
• When not in use, the machine should be stored in a dry location that
will not fall below 0˚C.
• Always wear protective goggles, ear defenders and waterproof clothing
when operating the pressure washer.

Unpacking and assembling your pressure washer
• If any parts are damaged or missing, have these parts repaired or
replaced before assembling or using this product.
• Do not connect the pressure washer to the water supply, or attempt to
start the engine, until fully assembled.
• Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Handle
• The top part of the handle is a sliding fit into the bottom part. Align the
bolt holes and secure with the nuts and bolts provided.
Lance
• Connect the Lance (12) to the Trigger Handle (11) by pushing the end of
the lance into the trigger handle and screwing the fittings together until
tight.
High pressure hose
• Before fitting the high pressure hose to the Outlet (9), check the gauze
filter for any obstructions.
• Fit the high pressure hose onto the threaded fitting, ensuring that it is
securely tightened. Be careful not to cross thread the fitting.
Inlet hose
• Before fitting the inlet hose to the machine check for any obstructions /
kinks that could restrict the flow of water to the machine.
• Attach the inlet hose to the Low Pressure Inlet (7) using the hose adaptor
(15).

Before every use

• Always check that all parts or attachments are secure, and that hoses
are not kinked or obstructed.
• Always hold the Lance or Trigger Handle (12/11) with both hands.
• ALWAYS WEAR APPROPRIATE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. USE

WATERPROOF CLOTHING.

Running the engine

WARNING – This product will produce poisonous fumes as soon as it
is used. Always use in a well ventilated area. Do not use indoors and
avoid using in trenches or other sheltered areas. ALWAYS refuel in a well
ventilated area. Store fuel away from the machine and away from heat
or direct sunlight. If fuel is spilt, clean up immediately, do not attempt
to start the engine until all fuel spillage is removed. Do not smoke near
to the machine, or fuel. Ensure that fuel filler cap is tightened securely.
During use, parts of the engine (such as exhaust and engine casing) will
become extremely hot. Allow all parts of the machine to cool fully before
handling.
Oil
• Always check the oil level before running the engine.
• To check the oil level, unscrew the Dipstick (10), and wipe off oil.
• Reinsert Dipstick without screwing in, then remove.
• Observe the oil level on the stick. The oil level should be between the H
and L markings.
• If required, add oil of the correct weight. Do not overfill.
• Do not attempt to run the engine with insufficient oil. The engine is fitted
with a low oil safety system that will stop the engine if the oil level falls
too low.
• Engine oil should be replaced regularly. Drain oil by removing the drain
plug, refill through Oil Filler (10).
Air Filter
• This engine is fitted with a 2 stage air filter. To reduce wear, and prolong
the life of your engine, always keep the filter clean. Never run the engine
without a filter.
• To check the air filter, remove the wing nut from the top of the filter
cover. The filter cover can then be removed. To remove the filter element,
remove the inner wing nut, the element can then be lifted out.
• The paper element can be cleaned by knocking any dust or dirt off.
• The foam filter element can be cleaned by washing with water and
detergent. Dry, and re-oil with normal machine oil. Do not apply excess
oil to the element, this will cause the engine to smoke when started.
• Re-assemble filter element and filter cover.
