Step 3. Reconnect the pump to the
power source. Clean the filter by pulling
and pushing on the handle performing
slow compressions until water exiting
the filter is clear. Disconnect the pump
from the power source and reassemble
the filter following the operational
instructions.
To open the filter to clean or replace the
filter pads, disconnect the pump and
filter from the power souce, and remove
the tubing from the filter.
Step 1. Unlatch the clamps to lift the lid.
Step 2. Place the lid upside down
on a soft, clean surface with the filter
foam face up as shown. Use a wrench
to remove the nut holding the filter
bracket in pace. You may need to use
combination pliers to hold the rod in
pace to remove the nut.
Step 3. Remove the filter foams. Clean
the filter foams with warm water and
gently compress until clean. Return filter
foams as shown.
Step 4. Secure the filter pads in place
and tighten the nut to the rod. You may
need to use combination pliers to hold
the rod in pace to remove the nut. Make
sure the ring on top of the filters is able
to slide around the mesh tube when
compressed.
Step 5. Check the o-ring for the filter lid
to ensure there is no damage or cracking.
Replace if needed. Rest on the rim of the
container there should be no twist as the
o-ring sits level. Return the lid to the filter
and lock the latches.
