STEAM CLEANING

NOTE: Be sure that Water Tank has been filled and that all desired accessories are connected before following
these steps.
1. For first time use, remove protective plastic cover from electrical plug. Plug power cord into a convenient electrical
outlet.
2. Turn Steam Control Dial clockwise. It will click to "on" position, and Power Indicator Light will immediately illuminate,
indicating that unit is on.
3. Direct Steam Nozzle (and any connected accessories) towards surface you wish to steam, and press Steam Trigger.
CAUTION: Always be sure that Steam Nozzle and any accessories are pointed in a safe direction (away
from yourself, other people, pets, and plants) before pressing Steam Trigger.
4. Hold Steam Trigger down for a continuous flow of steam. You may also slide the Steam-Lock Switch forward while
pressing the Steam Trigger to lock it down. This will allow a continuous flow of steam without need of holding the
Steam Trigger down manually.
5. Using a slight back-and-forth motion over the area you are steaming will further enhance the cleaning process.
Wipe steamed areas with a clean cloth to remove loosened dirt and grime. Wiping the area while it is still wet is
recommended, but use caution when wiping surfaces such as metal that may still be hot.
6. To effectively kill bacteria and other microorganisms, hold Steam Nozzle (and any connected accessories) approximately
1/2" from surface and press Steam Trigger. Keep Steam Trigger held and concentrate steam on the same spot for
at least 5 seconds.
7. Once steaming tasks are complete, immediately turn Steam Control Dial counter-clockwise to "off" position and
unplug power cord from electrical outlet. Follow steps under Proper Storage procedure on Page 11 of this manual.
FABRIC STEAMING
NOTE: Be sure that Water Tank has been filled and that Fabric Nozzle is connected before following these steps.
CAUTION: When steaming any material for the first time, it is recommended that you test on a small inconspicuous
area before proceeding. Do not use on synthetic fabrics, velvet, or other steam-sensitive materials.
1. Follow STEPS 1-3 of Steam Cleaning section above.
NOTE: The lowest setting of the Steam Control Dial is recommended to minimize water spotting.
2. Hang garment on a clean, rust-free clothes hanger.
3. Direct Fabric Nozzle towards bottom of garment and press Steam Trigger. Steam will rise along inside and outside of
fabric, removing wrinkles. Slowly slide Fabric Nozzle vertically, from bottom to top of garment.
4. Release Steam Trigger and smooth fabric with your free hand.
5. Repeat STEPS 3 & 4 as necessary until fabric is fresh and wrinkle-free.
GENERAL FABRIC STEAMING TIPS:
For most effective results, hold Steam Nozzle within 1/2" of fabrics, or press it directly against surfaces.
Curtains and draperies can be steamed while still hanging.
To remove wrinkles from towels, handkerchiefs and napkins, drape them over a rod or towel rack and gently steam them.
Heavier fabrics may require repeated steaming to achieve desired results.
To remove exceptionally stubborn wrinkles, steam both sides of fabric.
Be especially careful when steaming any delicate fabrics that may be damaged by heat or water spotting.
To sanitize a fabric, hold Fabric Nozzle within 1/2" of a single area for at least 5 seconds. Use caution when doing
this on more delicate fabrics.
