only be replaced by adults using rechargeable bat-
teries with the same characteristics as those indicat-
ed in these instructions and in the product battery
compartment.
- For safety reasons using alkaline batteries in the par-
ent unit is not advised. This product was designed
to function correctly only with rechargeable batter-
ies with the same characteristics as those supplied
and indicated in these instructions and in the prod-
uct battery compartment.
- The baby unit has infrared LEDs to ensure good vi-
sion also in poor light. As the infrared LEDs on the
baby unit do not emit visible light, check they are
working correctly by controlling the image trans-
mitted by the camera to the parent unit when the
baby unit is located in a poorly-lit room.
- The infrared LEDs on the baby unit are not harmful
to human health.

In any case it is not advisable to look directly at infrared
radiation along the emission axis with either the naked
eye or using optical devices.

2. DESCRIPTION OF FEATURES
2.1 Child Unit
2.1.1 Power:
- Connect the USB-micro USB power cord to the
mains adapter (1).
- Insert the mains adapter USB-micro USB power cord
jack (1) in the power connector at the back of the
unit (4).
- Insert the mains adapter plug in an easily accessible
power socket.
WARNINGS
- Periodically inspect mains adapters (1). If the power
cord or plastic parts show signs of damage, do not
use them and contact a qualified technician.
- Do not leave mains adapters (1) plugged into the
outlet when devices are not in use and/or not con-
nected to the mains adapters (1).
2.1.2 Modes of use - Switching on and Adjusting
- The baby unit must be positioned around 1 - 1.5
metres from the child, on a flat, level surface, mak-
ing sure that the camera (2) is pointing towards the
child.
- Warning: the transmitter, mains adapter and its pow-
er cord must be kept out of reach of children.
- Turning the baby unit on and off. There is no on/off
button. To turn the baby unit on insert the mains
adapter Micro USB jack (1) in the power connec-
tor at the back of the unit (4) and insert the mains
adapter plug in an easily accessible power socket.
The power indicator light (3) will come on, remain-
ing a steady red. To turn off the unit remove the
mains adapter and check that the indicator light
has gone off (3).
Power and link indicator light (3):
a) steady red: the baby unit is on
(b) flashing red: the baby unit is pairing with the
parent unit
c) No light: the baby unit is off
2.2 Parent unit
2.2.1 Power:
WARNING. The rechargeable batteries (11)
must only be charged using the mains adapter (1)
supplied and this can take place with the parent unit
switched on or off.
If the unit is powered by the mains adapter (1) or to
charge the rechargeable NiMH batteries:
- Connect the USB-micro USB power cord to the
mains adapter (1).
