the SunnyTent, in order to prevent damage to the tent.
7. You can close, fully open (by separating the head-sections from the middle section and
fold the head-sections down; this is not necessary for the use of this tent) or partially open your
SunnyTent.
• Note: Please read the safety guidelines carefully first, to prevent injury or worse.
• Note: Do not stay or play in / under a closed SunnyTent!
• Note: When opening your SunnyTent, consider the wind. If there is a strong wind blowing
into one side of the SunnyTent, open the tent on the opposite side. If there is a weak wind,
the tent can be opened simultaneously on both sides.
• A completely and correctly secured closed oval SunnyTent is resistant to wind to a force 6 Bft.
If the wind is (forecasted to be) any stronger, you need to take down your tent completely.
We also advise to place something heavy, but not sharp (sandbags, for example) on top of
the downed tent parts to prevent it blowing away.
• An open SunnyTent is more susceptible to wind than a closed tent. How susceptible your tent
is will depend on how sheltered (or not) that location is and the direction of the wind.
• Always keep an eye on the wind and wind direction, if you open your SunnyTent. Always use
common sense in this area.
• In case of (expected) strong winds (or gusts of wind), it is advised to check all the pegs /
secure materials. In case of strong winds, please also use the plastic secure pegs to secure
the twist pegs, as described before.
• Snow and glazed frost piling up on the SunnyTent may cause damage. Therefore, you need to
take down the SunnyTent completely when snow or glazed frost is expected.
• Never leave the SunnyTent open unattended. Closely monitor the weather and weather fore
casts, to prevent the SunnyTent from being lifted from the anchors, from getting damaged or
from causing damage to (property of) others.
8. Do not leave the SunnyTent upright and unattended unless you are 100% sure that there are calm,
predictable weather conditions forecast (no strong gusts of wind etc...). If you do so, you run the
risk of damage to your tent as a result of, for example strong wind, snow or sleet. This type of
damage is not protected by the warranty.
9. In case you use the SunnyTent above your swimming pool, the placement of the so-called skimmer
requires attention. Make sure that the tent foil / canvas never touches pointed / sharp parts of i.e.
skimmers, to prevent damage on this foil / canvas.
10. The first rainfalls will create a foam-like substance on top of the outside of the tent. This is an
anti-condensation wax layer on the canvas / foil. The first shower of rain will wash the wax partly
from the tent. This will cause no further harm and will not last long. This type of wax is also used
on the inside of the tent to prevent condensation on the canvas / foil. For example, splashing
water could also make the foam-like substance appear on the inside of the SunnyTent. This will
not cause any further harm.
11. As for the maintenance / cleaning of your SunnyTent: never use cleaning products as these
products can cause damage to the stitching that is used for keeping the canvas / foil parts
together. It is recommended to clean your SunnyTent by spraying cold clean water over the tent.
Do not use a hard jet, warm water, brushes or any other tools to prevent damage to the
protective layer of the canvas / foil, which may cause accelerated wear and tear and destroy the
anti-condensation layer.
