Step 8: Attaching the middle section to the hinge anchors
Your SunnyTent comes with 6 elastic tensioners with a bobbin attached. You will use 4 of these to
attach the middle section to the hinge anchors.
a. Pull the elastic cord of the tensioner all the way through the bobbin. Result: the bobbin and the
knot are side by side.
b. Thread the loop end through the metal eye (on the inner side of the middle section of the tent,
close to the ground) and then loop the loop around the bobbin end then pull it to secure.
c. There is a small gap (pivot axis) between the hinge block and the metal anchor; from underneath
bring the bobbin all the way around the pivot axis of the hinge anchor. The result being that the
bobbin will be secured between the hinge block and the metal anchor.
d. Do this at all 4 hinge anchors.
Step 9: Securing the tent to the ground
In step 6, both head-sections of the tent were secured to the ground with 1 twist peg. Now you must
fully secure it to the ground by using the remaining twist pegs. Use the same method as described in
step 6.
a. You may need to use some force pulling / pushing the tent downwards, but this is not a problem.
b. Make sure that the twist pegs are firmly rotated into the
ground and that no wind can blow underneath the tent.
c. You should secure the twist pegs by placing the secure
pegs against them, as shown on the picture. This will
prevent the twist pegs from turning towards the left
(which causes the twist peg to come upwards a bit).
This is especially recommended if you plan to leave
the SunnyTent unattended for prolonged periods of
time or if winds are forecast
d. If the tent is a little too high off the ground at the
hinge anchors, you can hammer the anchors a little deeper into the ground. This will lower the
tent, aligning it better with the ground. It does not matter that the tent is a little open between
the hinge anchor and the first twist peg.
e. The intermediate-section of the tent has a metal eye (on both sides) at the bottom / on the ground,
in the middle. Use the two remaining elastic tensioners with a bobbin here, in combination with
to two remaining twist pegs (turn them into the ground), to make the long sides of the tent more
resistant for wind (by attaching the elastic tensioners to the twist pegs (through the metal eye)).
Step 10: Opening and closing your SunnyTent
It is possible to completely close the SunnyTent, open it completely (the 'head-sections' and the
'middle section' are completely separate from each other and the 'head sections' fold down), or
partially (through the openings along the two long sides of your SunnyTent).
• Note: See the safety guidelines! Read these thoroughly to avoid injury or worse.
• Note: Do not swim under / play in a closed tent!
a. You can easily open your SunnyTent on both long sides. First of all, loosen the elastic bands attached
to both hinge anchors in steps 8 and 9e and at the centre at the bottom of the 'middle section'
of the tent foil. Note: Do not forget to remove the twist peg as described in step 9e, so that
