Step 1: Check that your box contains the following items:
2 tent canvas head-sections
10 pole sets
8 twist pegs with red handles
1 rope
Step 2: Decide where you will set up your SunnyTent
When deciding where you want your SunnyTent to stand, please consider the following:
a. Choose a clean level area, clear of any obstruction. If you do not do this, your SunnyTent may
not sit tightly on the ground and may not close properly.
b. See the 'Overview of the SunnyTent oval models' (elsewhere in this manual). Check the
dimensions carefully and make sure your location is suitable.
c. Decide where you want the opening to be. This will be the entrance / exit of the tent. The oval
SunnyTent opens along either of the long straight sides. Make sure at least one side is accessible.
d. Make sure there is at least 25 cm clear space along the outside of the head-sections of the tent.
e. If you have multiple options, choose the most sheltered spot, where the opening is least likely
to catch the wind.
Step 3: Place the hinge anchors
a. Your SunnyTent has 4 hinge anchors, 2 x type Right (R), and 2 x
type Left (L). These anchors need to be hammered into the ground
at exactly the right location (at the little crosses on the diagram).
At the spots marked R, hammer in the right anchors, and at L, the
left anchors.
b. Use the 4 plastic secure pegs as temporary markers, marking the
spots where the anchors will be placed. Measure the distances
precisely with a tape measure.
• The distance between the 2 adjacent anchors should exactly
2.10 m. (this is the distance from centre to centre).
• The distance between the 2 opposite anchors should be exactly:
o Sunnytent Oval M: 4.42 m.
o Sunnytent Oval L: 5.40 m.
Please note:
➢ The four anchors should form a perfect rectangle, with all imaginary angles measuring 90
degrees. This can aslo be checked by using the following measurements, from points R to R,
and from L to L:
o Sunnytent Oval M: 4.89 m.
o Sunnytent Oval L: 5.79 m.
➢ These measurements need to be accurate, so it is wise to double check the measurements
with a tape measure.
➢ It is also possible to set up the SunnyTent over an already established pool. To do this, 2
