INSTALLATION
4.1 Positioning
– Position the vending machine keeping a clearance of at least 8 cm between
the back and any walls (Fig. 4.1).
Position the vending machine with an angle of inclination not exceeding 2°.
Set the angle as required by adjusting the height of the 4 legs at the base
of the vending machine (Fig. 4.2).
WARNING! Do not position the device near inflammable objects, keep
a minimum safety distance of 30 cm.
Place the machine on a shelf high enough that the upper edge of the machine
standa at least 150 cm above the ground (fig.4.1).
Bianchi Industry
declines all responsibility for inconveniences due to the
non observance of the above mentioned installation norms.
So as to avoid that the floor gets dirty, due to accidental spilling of the prod-
ucts, use, if necessary, under the machine, a protection sufficiently wide to
cover the machine's operating space.
4.2 Connection to the main water supply
Before proceeding with the connection of the machine to the water main
supply verify the following water characteristics:
– that it is drinkable (eventually through an laboratory's analysis certifica-
tion).
– install, if not present, a tap in an accessible position to isolate the machine
from the water mains should it be found to be necessary (Fig.4.3).
– before making water connections, make some water flow out of the tap
so as to eliminate possible traces of impurities and dirt (Fig.4.4)
– Connect the tap to the dispenser using a pipe that is suitable for food
contact and able to withstand the mains pressure. In the event of the use
of a flexible pipe it is necessary to fit the reinforcement bush supplied
inside (Fig. 4.5).
– Make sure that the network has a pressure between 0,05 and 0,65 MPa
(0,5 e 6.5 bar) (if this should not be the case, use a pump or a water
pressure, reducer according to the case). Adopt only and exclusively the
supplied tube corresponding to the rules "IEC 61770"
– The foreseen connection is a 3/4" gas (Fig.4.6).
– The new hose-sets supplied with the appliance are to be used, in case of
replacement of the connection pipe to the water mains, do not reuse the
replaced tube.
– Figure 4.7 illustrates the mains water supply connection diagram.
4.3
Main Power supply connection
The machine is predisposed to function with mono-phase 220-230V, 50Hz
(220V, 60Hz)* tension of net and is protected with 10A fuse.
We suggest to check that:
– the tension of net doesn't have a difference of more than ± 6%
– The power supply output is able to bear the power load of the machine.
– The mains supply must support the rated load of the automatic vending
machine and have a differential switch able to support the maximum load
required.
– position the machine in such a way as to ensure that the plug remains
accessible
The machine must be connected to earth in observance with the current
safety norms.
For this reason, verify the plant's earth wire connection to ascertain that it
is efficient and it answers national and European safety electric standards.
If necessary require the intervention qualified personnel for the verification
of the plant.
– The machine is equipped with a power supply cable of H05VV-F 3x1 mm²,
with CEE 7/7 plug (NBR 14136:2001 plug - IRAM 2073 plug)* (Fig.4.8).
– The sockets that are not compatible with that of the machine must be
replaced. (Fig.4.9).
– The use of extension, adapters and/ or multiple plugs is forbidden.
Bianchi Industry spa declines all responsibility for damages deriving for
the complete or partial failure to observe these warnings.
Should the power cable be found to be damaged, immediately disconnect
from the power socket.
The power supply cables are to be replaced by skilled personnel.

4.4
Starting up of the unit
The machine comes with a power cable for connection to the mains (Fig.
4.10) and a circuit breaker that disconnects all users whenever it is oper-
ated (Fig. 4.11).
It also comes with a double safety switch (Fig. 4.12, pos. 1), one on the
upper door, one on the coffee grounds container, that powers off when the
door is open or the grounds container is removed (see wiring diagram). In
case of need, open the door or unplug the machine.
The power cable terminal board remains energized (Fig. 4.13,
pos. 1).
– Some maintenance operations, however, must be performed with the door
open and the machine turned on or running, in which case the safety key
must be inserted (Fig. 4.12).
Opening and activation of the machine with the door open must be carried
out only by personnel duly authorised for the purpose. Do not leave the open
machine unattended.
A test cycle is run every time the machine is switched on to verify the state
of peripherals and resume operation of any moving parts.
4.5 Installation
4.5.1 Water softener filter
For correct operation and use of the machine, it is recommended to install
a descaler.
Refer to the manufacturer's instructions on how to clean and
maintain the descaler.
4.5.2 Filling of water circuit
THE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Before powering on the vending machine, make sure it is connected to the
water supply circuit and the water tap is open.
On first start-up, the vending machine runs in FIRST INSTALLATION mode.
The operator shall connect only the water circuit and the power mains.
A Display the vending machine shows the blinking message "first installation".
Automatic water loading takes place during this phase.
This condition lasts until the boiler is completely full, or until the the level
read by the sensor inside the boiler is reached.
Once the water loading phase is over, the display requires insertion of the
installation date of the vending machine.
Once the date is confirmed the vending
machine waits 10 seconds and then starts
heating the boiler water.
4.5.3 Cleaning of the parts in contact with food substances
With machine switched on effect a cleaning of the mixers pressing the but-
tons according to what is described in the service functions so as to eliminate
any dirt from the coffee boiler and the instant boiler.
– wash your hands carefully
– Use detergents appropriate for the specific use in the food industry, in
accordance with HACCP standards (adopted by the user company).
Before removing the container lower the flap in order to prevent the
accidental escape of the soluble product inside the same (fig. 4.14).
– remove all the product containers from the machine (Fig.4.15)
– remove the lids from the product containers covers and product chutes
(Fig.4.16). Dip all in the solution previously prepared
– remove all the powder chutes, water funnels, mixing bowls and whip-
pers and silicone tubes and dip these parts also in the prepared solution
(Fig.4.17)
– with a cloth soaked with the solution clean the whipper assembly base
(Fig.4.18)
– the parts must soak in the solution for the time indicated on the solutions'
instruction label.
– Recover all the parts, rinse them abundantly, dry them perfectly and
proceed with the re-assembly in the machine.
After re-positioning the container undertake to raise the flap in order to reset
the correct function (fig. 4.19).
For further safety after the assembly of the parts, effect some auto-
matic cleaning cycles so as to eliminate any eventual residues.
4.5.4
Emptying the boiler
Moda machines are equipped with a boiler and heat exchanger. The water
inside the boiler must be replaced completely at least once a month, follow-
ing the procedure below:
IMPORTANT! Disconnect the machine from the mains and the
plumbing system and wait until all hot parts have cooled down.
Open the half-door (Fig. 4.20) and remove the front panel of the machine
(Fig. 7.7).
Then remove the rear guard of the machine by unscrewing the 4 fixing
screws (Fig. 4.21 - 4.22).
Pull out the drain hose, open the drain cock (Fig. 4.23) and empty all the
water and collect it in a basin or a bucket of a suitable capacity (Fig. 4.24).
4.6 Product container loading (with machine off)
Water can be filled leaving all the containers connected, and raising the lid
of the containers (Fig. 4. 25) or by pulling out each container.
For granulated coffee in particular it is necessary to close the closure plat
before extracting the container.(Fig.4.26).
– remove the covers of each container and load the product according to
the product indicated on the label (Fig.4.27).
– pay attention that they there are no clots, avoid pressing the product
and using an excessive quantity, so as to avoid its aging in relation to the
consumption forseen in the time period between two loadings.
Check the container product capacity in the section TECHNICAL CHARAC-
TERISTICS.
