MEDIUM MODEL SAFETY FENCE
2 INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION OF THE SAFETY FENCE

First check that the surface where the safety fence is to
be installed is totally stable and horizontal, preferably
concrete (or concrete covered with tiles), wood,... and
not unstable or soft surfaces such as grass.
Once you have decided on the distance you wish
to install the safety fence from the pool, you can
start assembly.
1. PLACE THE SUPPORT POSTS OF THE
SAFETY FENCE
Place the posts one metre apart along a flat surfa-
ce. It is recommended to place them at least 1
metre from the edge of the swimming pool, so that
cleaning work can be carried out and to leave suf-
ficient space to walk between the pool and the pro-
tection wall. The M6 threaded drill holes should be
placed on the outside of the perimeter in order to
screw the fastening sections of the mesh. Bear in
mind that in one of the lengths, two special posts
must be installed to support the access gate to the
perimeter. (Code 32658).
NOTE: to align the posts properly, mark two
separate points along the whole straight length
to cover and join them with a wire or cord to mark
the line to follow when anchoring the posts.

2. ANCHORING THE POSTS

2.1. Once you have placed the posts, take the spe-
cial posts which will support the access gate as a
reference, as when you mount the mesh, you will
have to start with one of the posts of this length.
Make sure that the M6 threaded drill holes to fas-
ten the mesh are on the outside of the protection
perimeter. Also make sure that the drill holes are
as parallel as possible to the edge of the pool, in
order to avoid possible deformities when mounting
the mesh and to achieve a better finish.
NOTE: when assembling the safety fence for
rectangular swimming pools, the posts in the
corners of the perimeter can also be aligned
at 45º.

2.2. Mark the drill holes on the anchoring surface,
using the base of the post to be installed as a tem-
plate.
2.3. Make the three previously marked drill holes,
using a Ø10 drill bit and a standard drill, to a mini-
mum depth of 8 centimetres.
2.4. Insert the fastening plugs in the drill holes,
making sure that they are fully aligned with the
anchoring surface. This will ensure that the plug
works under the best conditions and will prevent
deformities when the safety mesh is mounted.
2.5. Place the safety fence and fasten the three
screws supplied for each post DIN-571 Ø8x70
using a 12-13 flat spanner. Place a DIN-125 Ø8
washer between these screws and the base.
2.6. Repeat the process described from point 2.1 to
2.5 to complete the whole perimeter of the pool.

3. MOUNTING THE MESH

Once all the posts have been installed, you can
now mount the mesh to completely close the
safety perimeter. Two people are needed for this
process to make the task easier and to achieve a
better finish.
3.1. Start mounting the mesh at the post used to
support the magnetic lock of the access door to the
pool.
NOTE: The section installed on this post has a
greater width than the rest of the sections
(width of the lock support section = 40 mm),
and has three M4 threaded drill holes to fasten
the lock.
3.2. Spread out at least three metres of the safety
mesh and place it on the post on the side with the
threaded drill holes, so that the lower part of the
mesh is aligned with the anchoring base of the
posts at a height of 1.5 cm.
3.3. While one person holds the mesh in the
position described in the previous point, the other
should hold the mesh fastening section and
