Removing the available fixing screws
ADVICE
Please note the following before re-
moving the fixing screws!
The shock absorber is hooked onto
fixing screw (7-1) for most overrun
devices.
CAUTION!
The overrun device shock absorber will
pull out on its own!
Use the supplied mounting bolts (Ø
10) for the installation
1. Remove the bellows from the hitch ball.
2. Undo and remove self-locking nuts from the
hexagon bolts.
3. Pull out and/or drive out hexagon bolt (7-2) .
4. Pull out and/or drive out hexagon bolt (7-1)
into mounting bolt (7-4) and leave the bolt in
the drawbar tube to centre the shock absor-
ber.
5. Remove the trailer hitch ball coupling (7-5) .
ADVICE
Reuse any attached spacers!

ADVICE
Only use spacer plates part 7 with AK
160 with 50 mm drawbar!
Procedure
1. Push AK 300 / AK160 or AKS 1300 and, if re-
quired, spacers onto the drawbar tube so that
the attachment holes match.
2. Position any spacer sleeves in the drawbar
tube.
3. Attach fixing parts as shown in figure (8) .
4. During this process also thread on any spacer
sleeves in the drawbar tube (with front screw
- level).
5. Insert mounting bolt Ø 10 (with rear screw) ho-
rizontally.
Shock absorber is threaded on.
