Using the Fence Remote with Fault
Finder (the remote control)
A Fence Remote with Fault Finder (remote control) can be purchased as
an optional accessory. This will allow you to control the energizer
remotely. The energizer and remote control must be programmed before
they will work together.
Programming the energizer and remote control
You need to set the energizer and remote control with the same 'address setting' in
order for them to be able to communicate. The steps required are:
1
Disconnect the energizer from the mains power source and wait for 5 minutes
before reconnecting it OR hold the mag key on the mag sensor for 1 second.
2
Go into the remote control's setup menu and select an address setting.
3
Transmit the address to the energizer.
4
Test to make sure that the energizer is obeying commands from the remote
control.
Full instructions are provided in the user manual which came with your remote control.
Note:
All user manuals are available on the website (see energizer packaging for
details).
Identifying the energizer's address setting
You may need to identify the energizer's address setting during troubleshooting. To
view the energizer's address settings, disconnect the energizer from the mains power
source and wait for 5 minutes before reconnecting it OR hold the mag key on the mag
sensor for 1 second. The address will be displayed for 5 seconds. Make a note of the
LEDs which are illuminated.
If all LEDs are illuminating in sequence back and forth, this means that the energizer is
set to address zero (0) and has not been configured for use with the remote control.
For a complete list of available address settings, see the remote control's user manual.
