Insert the two batteries with the negative end
against the springs. Ensure that the nylon tape
passes beneath the batteries so that this can be
used to pull them out.
Close the battery compartment.
Charging NiCd re chargeable batteries
To charge the 1.2 V NiMH batteries in the player,
remove the coating at the negative end of one of
the NiCd re chargeables
When inserting this cell, ensure that the cleared
area touches the charging contact.
Insert the other cell, observing the correct
polarity, and close the battery compartment.
Move the switch on the base of the device to the
"ON CHARGE" position.
Connect the mains adapter supplied to the player
and to the mains. During charging the screen
displays "charging".
If the batteries are fully discharged, the charging
time is about eight hours.
Move the switch on the base of the device to the
"OFF CHARGE" position.
The mains adapter should then be disconnected.
WARNING!
NEVER expose the metal of normal mignon
cells. If you attempt to charge normal
batteries, they MAY EXPLODE!
Battery indication
If the battery symbol in the display starts to blink,
this indicates that the battery is running out.
