Connection of accessories

7.1. Safety instructions for connecting accessories

Consult section "Important Safety Instructions" and the following instructions before working on the
unit.
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before starting the connection.
Do not switch on the power to the unit until you have successfully made the rest of the connections
and the unit is closed.
Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by incorrect connection.
Use the personal protective equipment specified in the section "Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE)".

7.2. Connection via INGECON Comm

The figure below shows the connection of a communication accessory in the INGECON Comm connectors. Follow
the same procedure for any communication accessories that need to be installed in these connectors.

7.2.1. RS-485 communication

To communicate several inverters via RS-485, create a communication bus. Once the communication accessory
has been connected to the INGECON Comm connectors, perform the connection on each inverter as shown in the
following figure. You must install a ferrite rod (supplied by Ingeteam) and going round the communications wiring
two times.
After making the wiring connections, it will leave the unit via a coupling installed in the wiring hole for the
accessories.
