Clean the spark plug base thoroughly, thread the spark plug in by hand to prevent cross-

CAUTION
Make sure that the spark plug is securely tightened. An improperly tightened spark plug can
become very hot and could damage the engine.

6.14 Fuel sediment cup cleaning

Coal dust produced by combustion engine is located in the fuel sediment cup and the valve
head. It is convenient to be cleaned temporarily so that the engine can recover its first
compression conditions.
This operation must be made by professional mechanics to assure that any parts will not be
damaged during their dismantling – assembly for cleaning procedures.

6.15 Cooling system cleaning

The obstruction of engine and alternator cooling blades produced by several elements (mud,
dust, grass blades, etc) will cause an anomalous increase of temperature of the
engine/alternator. This could affect negatively the performance of the generator and cause
eventual mechanical damages.
Proceed to dismantle the necessary components to clean the area involved. Reinstall parts
thereafter.

6.16 Cylinder head fitting

Cylinder head is composed of materials that are easily squeezable with temperature and as time
goes by. That makes they loose resistance notoriously during the first hours of running.
To avoid compression leaks through the cylinder head, it is necessary to make sure that cylinder
head nuts are securely tight.
Check values referred to the Maintenance Operation chart.

CAUTION
If cylinder head fitting is not checked properly engine may result damaged.
