CAUTION:
Do not allow the starter to snap back against the engine .Return it gently to prevent damage to
the starter.

OIL ALERT SYSTEM
The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by an insufficient amount of
oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the cranckcase can fall below a safe limit, the oil alert
system will automatically shut down the engine (the engine switch will remain in the ON position)
The oil alert systems shuts down the engine and the engine will not start. If this occurs, first
check engine oil.

3.2 High altitude operation

At high altitude performance of the engine decreases to values even lower than nominal ones
if application is being carried out above sea level .

CAUTION:
Both for engine and generators applications it is necessary to take into account the height above
sea level they will be operating since performance will decrease as the height increases.
The lost of horsepower can cause an overheat of the engine and produce damages to it.
At high altitude, the standard carburetor air-fuel mixture will be excessively rich.
Performance will decrease and fuel consumption will increase.
High altitude performance can be improved by installing a smaller diameter main fuel jet in the
carburetor and readjusting the pilot screw. Even with suitable carburetor jetting, engine
horsepower will decrease ( approximately 1% for each 100 m ) increase in altitude.
From altitudes higher than 1800 m above sea level it is already advisable to make such a
carburetor modification which will imperatively be made by an AUTHORIZED DEALER.

CAUTION:
If an engine jetted for hight altitude is used at lower altitude, the lean air fuel mixture will reduce
performance and may over-heat and seriuously damage the engine.
