In addition to the speed of the engine, the speed is controlled by the depth skid, which is
placed behind the machine.
Do not cultivate in very wet soil as clods of soil will be formed, and these are difficult to
break. Dry and hard soil may need to be cultivated twice.
Note: The gear can become very hot during operation

The Hobby 500 BR is fitted with a reverse gear. To operate, press the left handle down.
Never hold the right and left handles down at the same time! This can damage the
machine.

Depth skid

The setting of the depth skid determines the working depth. The deeper the rod is set, the
deeper the machine will till the earth. Correct blade depth is the key to easy cultivation.
The setting varies according to soil conditions.

Cleaning after use

The cultivator should be cleaned after use. Use the garden hose to wash the earth and dirt
off. Remove grass etc., from the blade shaft. Wipe the chassis identification number with a
damp cloth only, otherwise it could get damaged. Avoid using a high-pressure cleaner.

Engine

The engine is delivered without oil and fuel. Remember to fill the engine with engine oil
before starting.
Follow the guidelines in the user manual for correct use and maintenance of the engine.
