When the appliance is hot, always remove the lid slowly,
with the maximum care and attention.
If the lid is removed during or after use, the disinfection sta
tus will be interrupted.
Warning! If for any reason there is a power blackout while
the appliance is working, the disinfection cycle may not have
been completed and is therefore considered to be insuffi
cient.
At the end of the disinfection cycle, or whenever the appli
ance is not in use, disconnect the power cable plug from the
mains socket.
N.B. IMPORTANT: wait for at least 5 minutes before re
moving the lid at the end of the cycle; always be very care
ful when lifting the lid (to prevent any scorching steam from
suddenly being released which could cause burns).
Warning:
Always clean your hands thoroughly before touching the
sterilised objects.
When the appliance is completely cold, remove any water resi-
dues as shown in diagram 10; dry the tank, heating plate, lid and
rack with a soft cloth.
Warning! always allow the appliance to cool down complete
ly before starting a new disinfection cycle
WARNING
Always pour out the water as shown in diag. 10 to
prevent it from infiltrating inside the appliance.
NOTE: disinfected items will remain sterile inside the steri
liser with the lid on for about 8 hours.
NOTE: during the first disinfecting cycles, the appliance
could release a slight odour. This is not a sign of malfunction
or damage and should be considered absolutely normal.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTE: these operations must always be carried out only
when the appliance has cooled down completely and is dis
connected from the mains socket.
How to Clean the Appliance.
Allow the steriliser cool down completely. Always disconnect
the plug from the mains before moving the appliance, or carry-
ing out any cleaning or maintenance operations.
Disconnect the power cable from the steriliser, removing the
connector from the socket located at the back.
Remove any residual water from the steriliser (diag. 10).
Warning: when cleaning the appliance, never im
merse it in water or any other liquid
DESCALING
The normal use of the steriliser can cause the formation of
scale residues on the heating plate. Excessive scale residues on
the heating plate may cause incorrect operation and prevent
the disinfection of the objects inserted in the appliance, apart
from causing permanent damage to the appliance. Therefore to
ensure that the steriliser continues to work properly, do not al-
low scale to build up on the heating plate; descale it (when it is
cold), pouring 200 ml of white vinegar into the tank (at least
once a week or whenever there are scale residues), and leave to
soak for at least one night. Then empty the tank, as indicated in
diag. 10, remove the scale residues with a soft cloth and rinse
several times, pouring 300 ml of tap water into the tank. Pour
out the water as indicated in diag. 10 and dry thoroughly before
use.
Warning: never place the appliance under running water.
Due to the different types of water (hardness) in the differ
ent geographical areas, the formation of scale deposits may
be more abundant and accumulate in quite a short period of
time. To ensure the correct operation of the appliance, it is
recommended to carry out descaling cycles more frequently.
The presence of scale residues on the heating plate may
cause a slight noise during use.
