SOLAR KIT FOR GDO
A. Prepare the case
[1]. Connect the fuse.
[2]. Close the case and lock it with the screws supplied.
B. Install the case
[1]. Screw on the case's wall support.
[2]. Mount the case on its support.
C. Prepare the solar panel
[1]. Remove 45 mm of sheath from the solar panel cable.
Strip the wires by 9 mm.
[2]. Open the black casing at the rear of the solar panel.
[3]. Unscrew the cable gland.
Feed the panel cable into the cable gland.
[4]. Connect the brown wire to the "+" terminal.
Connect the blue wire to the "-" terminal.
[5]. Tighten the cable gland.
[6]. Put the cover back on the casing.
D. Mount the solar panel
The solar panel can be installed vertically or horizontally.
Recommendations: Do not install the solar panel under a roof overhang. The solar panel must receive sunlight directly.
Tilt the panel to an angle α in relation to a horizontal plane; angle α is indicated on the tilt gauge.
The solar panel must be facing South to operate properly.
Use the compass provided to orient the solar panel.
If the panel is installed vertically, the black box on the rear of the panel must be on top so that the cable outlet still feeds out to the
bottom.
Using the compass
[1]. Position the compass so that it is completely flat and away from any metal parts (held in your hand, for example).
[2]. Turn the compass so that the red magnetic needle is opposite the red arrow marked «N».
This is now indicating North.
[3]. Orient the solar panel in the opposite direction, i.e. so that it is facing «S».
E. Connections
The motor must be disconnected from the mains.
Remove the 230V supply cable.
Connect in this order:
• the solar panel to the case,
• the motor to the case.
F. Operation

The panel is operational.
Switched off
No light.
Batteries fully
Lit green + orange intermittently (on/off every 2/3 mins.).

Batteries must be stored fully charged. During installation, charge the unused case before storing it.
A. Prepare the cases
[1]. Connect the fuse.
[2]. Close the case and lock it with the screws supplied.
B. Install the cases
[1]. Screw in the case's wall support at a height allowing easy handling of the case using the strap.
[2]. Mount the case on its support.
C. Connections
The motor must be disconnected from the mains.
Remove the 230V supply cable.
Connect the motor to the case.
D. Operation
A fully charged case (charger indicator light = green) enables around 4 cycles to be performed per day for 40 days.
If the garage door's movements become very slow, the case needs to be recharged.
Replace the discharged case X with the charged case Y.
Leave the discharged case X to charge.
It is advisable to recharge the case fully.
During charging (charger indicator light = orange), the case must not be placed flat.
The case is fully charged when the charger indicator light comes on green.

- use a joint box
- make sure the polarities are correct

The battery charge is not sufficient to power the motor.
