WARNING KICKBACK.
Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction) will pull hand
and arm toward engine faster than you can let go
which could cause broken bones, fractures, bruises,
or sprains resulting in serious injury.
• When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance is
felt and the pull rapidly to avoid kickback.
NOTICE DO NOT run the pump without the chemical diluted
liquid in the sprayer tank.
• Damaged to equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty.
• DO NOT run the engine on idle for extended periods. If the
machine is inactive, turn off the engine when not in use.
• Never leave the engine running unattended.
• DO NOT run the engine at maximum speed with the wand
cock valve closed for extended periods.
To start your backpack sprayer for the first time, follow these
instructions step-by-step. This starting information also applies
if you have the backpack sprayer sit idle for at least a day.
1. Place the backpack sprayer on flat and stable surface.
2. Check and ensure before starting the engine, the cock valve
(G) is completey closed.
3. Prime the clear fuel bulb (H) at the bottom of the carburetor
until it becomes hard and full of fuel.

4. Place the choke lever (I) to up position.
NOTE: DO NOT close the choke when starting a warm engine.
A warm (hot) engine can be:
- an engine that has just stopped running.
- an engine in hot ambient temperatures.
5. Move the throttle control lever (J) up about 1/3 from the "idle"
position. DO NOT increase throttle lever (J) until the unit is on the
operators back and the unit is ready for spraying.

6. Set the pressure regulation dial (K) to appropriate spray
conditions. The pressure regulation dial is used to control the
amount of pressure the pump will produce. When set, excess
pressure is vented back into the tank supply to ensure a maximum
output pressure at the wand. To set the pressure, follows these
steps:
- Turn in clockwise direction to increase the pressure, or;
Turn in anticlockwise direction to decrease the pressure.
- To lock the pressure regulation dial, tighten the pressure
locking plate (L) in anticlockwise direction.
