Pump Set Up, Connect the Hoses
NOTE: Hose kits are not included with your pump. Hose
kits can be purchased separately through www.
stormsurgepumps.com.
Assemble Intake Hose to Couplings as follows:
1. Place B-Nut on barbed hose end flange.
2. Place a hose clamp over the end of the hose.
3. Slide open end of hose over the barbed hose end flange.
NOTE: Use dish soap to lubricate the hose end and fitting.
This will assist in sliding the hose over the barbed
hose end fitting.
4. Slide the hose clamp in place over the barbed hose end
fitting and tighten.
5. Install the hose coupler gasket into the female hose
coupler end.
6. Thread the intake (suction) hose coupler onto the pump
intake port. Turn clockwise until securely fastened.

void your warranty. The intake strainer has been
designed to prevent large debris from entering the
pump intake which can cause damage.
Assemble Discharge Hose Coupling as follows:
1. Place B-Nut on barbed hose end flange.
2. Place a hose clamp over the end of the hose.
3. Slide open end of hose over the barbed hose end fitting.
Check for parts online at www.stormsurgepumps.com or call 800-345-6007 M-F 8-5
NOTE: Use dish soap to lubricate the hose end and fitting.
This will assist in sliding the hose over the barbed
hose end fitting.
4. Slide the hose clamp in place over the barbed hose end
fitting and tighten.
5. Install the hose coupler gasket into the female hose
coupler end.
6. Thread the Discharge Hose Coupler onto the pump
discharge Port. Turn clockwise until securely fastened.
Remove Side Panel and Relocate Engine On/Off Switch as
follows:
1. Turn engine off and remove spark plug wire from spark
plug.
2. Remove the four bolts that attach the side panel to the
frame. Remove the side panel and hardware and store in
a safe location for installation later.
3. Disconnect the engine ON/OFF switch lead wires.
4. Remove the switch from the panel by gently prying up
around the perimeter of the switch flange wit a screw
driver.
NOTE: The suggested method of switch removal is to use
a flat blade screw driver. Insert the blade under
the perimeter of the switch flange and slowly
twist the screw driver until the switch lifts away
from the panel mount hole. Repeat around the
perimeter of the switch as necessary.
