The gas enters the burner through the nozzle
and is mixed with air. The mixture is ignited
with an electrical spark. An ionisation
electrode is used to check if a flame occurs
within a few seconds. If there is no flame
within the prescribed time, the heater triggers
an error. The ignition stops automatically
when a good flame is formed.
The heater is equipped with a digital burner
automat that monitors and checks the ignition
and the gas supply. If the gas pressure falls
below a certain minimum value, the gas block
disconnects the gas supply. The burner
automat also checks the flame during
operation through ionisation measurement.
To be sure that sufficient combustion air is
fed to the burner, the combustion air pressure
is measured immediately after the fan and in
the burner head. If the pressure difference
between the two measurement points is too
low, the heater triggers an error.
With an error, the burner automat switches
the heater off. Now, the red lamp on the
operating panel lights. It is possible to
connect an external alarm (consult the
dealer).
The heater is equipped with two thermostats
to control the temperature. The thermostat
after the burner has an automatic reset, the
thermostat on the cooling jacket must be
manually reset.
The heater stops when the selector switch on
the operating panel is set to "Off". The heater
can be used as a fan by setting the selector
switch on the operating panel to "Ventilate".
