On the rear side of the driver's chart the
tachograph records the engine speed in

The engine speed is recorded counter-
clockwise.

(front side, figure V)

Before insertion the following entries
must be made:
name and first name of the driver
place of departure
date of insertion (upper line)
vehicle registration number
beginning odometer reading
... after trip
complete the manual entries:
place of arrival
date of chart retrieval (bottom line)
ending odometer reading
distance travelled (by calculation).

The right chart for your tacho-
graph (Figure VI)
When ordering tachograph charts, always
ensure that the full-scale value (and
approval number, if required) of the chart
corresponds to that of the tachograph.
Uni charts
The uni charts, e. g. ...-24 EC 4 K,
replace the special automatic charts
...-24 EC 4 B.
For electronic evaluations the charts
...-24/2 EC 4 B are still to be used.
Note
The recorded charts must be safely
stored and protected against damage.

Operation
4.1
How to open/close the tacho-
graph (Figure VII)
The EEC tachograph 1318 may only be
opened when the vehicle is stationary.
Open your tachograph (1)
–
Insert the key into the lock at the
top of the tachograph.
–
Turn the key 90 ° to the left
(counter-clockwise).
–
Lower the tachograph cover.
