B. Checking Thermostat Operation
To check thermostat operation:
• Press the
button to activate the heater. The display will show the outlet temperature.
• With the water running through the unit, press
recommended temperature setting is 118
the risk of scalding.
NOTE: After adjusting the water temperature, allow the heater
enough time to heat the water to temperature. Then use a
thermometer to measure the water temperature at a hot water
outlet in the structure.
C. Changing the Heating Element
• Turn off the power supply and drain the water heater (see
procedure, this manual).
• Remove heating element (see procedure, this manual).
• Install new element with new red O-Ring, making sure the
O-Ring and element are positioned correctly. Tighten the
retaining cap and wire connections. See Figure 12.
• Reinstall the water heating assembly. When reinstalling,
work in the opposite way of the procedure.
• Refill the water heater with water before restoring power.
D. Changing a Triac
• Turn off the power supply.
• Disconnect the three (3)
wire connectors on the
triac. Remove the wires.
See Figure 13.
• Remove
the
two
screws connecting the
triac to the inlet. Remove
the triac.
• Install the new triac and
re-attach the wiring and
screws.
