CODE
DESCRIPTION
OFF
The charger operates under normal conditions
The AC supply voltage does not suit the operating voltage of the equipment.
The message disappears as soon as the voltage is brought back to the rated levels (this message appears
when the battery charger is turned on or off also at normal voltage condition).
The battery charger is being derated (power is reduced) because of slight overheating.
The message disappears as soon as the cause, that has brought about overheating, does not exist any more.
If the message appears very often, make sure the battery charger has been properly installed.
The temperature measured by the external probe is not within the recommended operating range (-15 +
50°C). The output voltage of the battery charger goes to 12.5 V (25V in the 24V models) in order not to
damage the battery. The message disappears as soon as the temperature is within the recommended range.
Letter "E" and the number flash, one after the other on the display.
Output shorts or overload. Check the electrical output wiring, the group of batteries, and the equipment
connected to the battery charger.
Letter "E" and the number flash, one after the other on the display.
The output fuse of the charger has blown. (probable reverse polarity).
Contact your nearest dealer or any "Quick" service center.
Letter "E" and the number flash, one after the other on the display.
Output overvoltage: the charger, due to a fault inside, has given out a voltage 10% higher than the rated
value for a very short period.
Contact your nearest dealer or any "Quick" service center.
Letter "E" and the number flash, one after the other on the display.
Battery charger overheated. The operating temperature has exceeded the maximum allowable limit to
ensure proper functioning. Make sure the battery charger has been properly installed.
Turn off the equipment and leave it to cool down for at least 10 minutes.
To erase the problems coded "E", findout and remove what has brought them about. Keep the battery charger off
for at least 10 seconds and turn it back on (except for problem E2 where the fuse needs to be replaced at a
"Quick" service centre).
