Regarding the inspection of lanyards
• Lanyards should be inspected annually by a person or
institution authorised by the producers.
• User is responsible for the visual inspection of lanyards.
It is important to check the stitches, the hooksand the
fastenings.
• Stitching must retain its fixed pattern and should have no
loose threads.
• A lanyard may not be frayed.
• Hooks should open and close properly and should not be
deformed.
• Fastenings must fasten easily and should not be deformed.
• Lanyards must remain as clean as possible. They should
not be damaged by chemicals or other corrosive
substanceslike paint, oil, etc.
