Instructions For Use Protective-tube lights
ENG
Appendix
The following connection dia-
grams only show the most com-
mon connection types of Wald-
mann protective-tube lights. There
is a great number of other connec-
tion types possible.
The type of connection to be used
depends first of all upon the lamp
used and the installed ballast unit.
Special options such as through-
wiring, special voltages or integrat-
ed switches make other circuitry
necessary.
Regarding lights with incorporated
ballast unit, pay attention above all
to the information on the rating
plate of the light.
On lights with an external ballast
unit, the mains voltage and volt-
age type can be read directly on
the ballast unit itself or inside the
accompanying documentation.
The table illustrated on page 19,
shows a selection of conventional
and electronic ballast units for use
at an operating voltage of 230 V, 50
Hz. Only the ballast units listed in
the table fulfill the EMV directives
when correctly wired.
For other operating voltages, fur-
ther ballast units are available. In
this case, ask the manufacturer for
more information.
