SETTING UP THE COMPLETE STAGE SYSTEM
Note: Right and left in this section is audience right and left,
not stage right and left.
Even after all of the folding supports and their decks are
connected together, the entire system can be moved on the
casters, so precise location is not required. Use as many
bridged decks as possible to minimize the number of master
units that are required. The simplest approach is to assemble
the stage system in rows starting in the left back corner.
Set up the back row:
• Move one master unit to the general area of the left back
corner of the stage system, with the safety lock and foot
levers facing the front of the stage. Keep this unit on its
casters until later in the process. Note: If the ends of two
master units connect directly to each other (i.e., without
bridge decks) orient the masters so the foot levers face
away from each other.
• NOTE: Every corner of every deck must be supported by a
pin connector with the pin in the vertical (i.e., not the stored)
position.
• Adjust the pin connectors as required; see the top picture
on this page. A "1" means that only one of the pins on that
pin connector will be used; the others will be folded into the
storage position. A "2" means two of the pins will be used;
for the four-pin connectors, that means that two of the pins
will be folded in the storage position. A "4" means that all
four of the pins of a four-pin connector will be used. The
"2"s and "4"s are where bridge decks will be added.
• For those pin connectors that need to be used for bridge
decks (i.e., "2" or "4"), loosen the adjusting screws (F)
on the pin (B) that secures the deck, pull out the spring
loaded pin (C) and rotate the pin connector to the desired
location, making sure the pin (C) engages a hole in the
socket. Then, secure the deck again by tightening the
adjusting screw (F). Finally, rotate the movable pin or pins
(D) as required. (See page 7)
• Repeat for the other pin connectors that need to be
adjusted, making sure the spring loaded pin (C) is
engaged and the deck is once again secured by
tightening the fixed pin (B). (See page 7)
