• Check theblade(s) and engine mounting bolts a tfrequent
intervals forproper tightness. Also, visually inspect blade(s) for
damage (e.g., excessive wear, bent, cracked). Replace the
blade(s) with the original equipment manufacturer's (O.E.M.)
blade(s) only, listed i nthis manual. Use ofparts w hich d onot
meet the original equipment specifications may lead toimproper
performance and compromise safety!
Mower blades aresharp. Wrap t he blade o rwear gloves, and use
extra c aution when s ervicing them.
Keep a llnuts, bolts, and screws tight tobesure the equipment is
insafe w orking condition.
Never tamper with the safety interlock system o rother safety
devices. Check their p roper operation regularly.
After striking aforeign object, stop the engine, disconnect the
spark p lug w ire(s) and ground against the engine. Thoroughly
inspect the machine forany damage. Repair the damage before
starting and operating.
Never attempt tomake a djustments orrepairs tothe machine
while t he engine isrunning.
Grass catcher components and the discharge cover aresubject
towear and damage which c ould e xpose moving parts o rallow
objects tobethrown. For s afety protection, frequently check
components and replace immediately with original equipment
manufacturer's (O.E.M.) parts o nly, listed i nthis manual. Use of
parts w hich d onot m eet the original equipment specifications may

Donot c hange the engine governor settings orover-speed the
engine. The governor controls the maximum safe o perating speed
ofthe engine.
Maintain orreplace safety a nd instruction labels, asnecessary.
Observe proper disposal laws a nd regulations forgas, oil, e tc. t o
protect the environment.
According tothe Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC)
and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this product
has anAverage Useful Life ofseven (7) years, or270 hours o f
operation. Atthe end ofthe Average Useful Life have t he machine
inspected annually bySears oranother qualified dealer toensure
that a llmechanical and safety systems are working properly and
