BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE

WARNING
Disconnect the electrical supply before servicing or cleaning the vacuum cleaner.
Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or personal injury from vacuum
cleaner suddenly starting.
Review this chart to find do-it-yourself solutions for minor performance
problems. Any service needed, other than those described in these
Operating Instructions, should be performed by an authorized service
representative.
PROBLEM
Vacuum cleaner
will not run.
Poor job of dirt
pickup.
Dust escapes
the dust bag.
Bag holder does
not assemble
properly
Electrical Shock or Personal Injury Hazard
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Unplugged at wall outlet.
2. ON-OFF switch not turned on.
3. Tripped circuit breaker/blown
fuse at household service panel.
4. Tripped thermal protector.
1. Full or clogged dust bag.
2. Broken belt.
3. Clogged body or nozzle hose.
4. Body hose not inserted fully.
5. Worn agitator.
6. Hole in body or nozzle hose.
7. Dust cover improperly installed.
8. Belt not installed on motor shaft.
1. Bag improperly installed.
2. Bag torn.
1. Secondary filter improperly
installed
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
1. Plug in firmly. Push ON-OFF
switch to ON.
2. Push ON-OFF switch to ON.
3. Reset circuit breaker or replace
fuse.
4. Unplug vacuum cleaner, wait thirty
(30) minutes, plug in and switch to
ON.
1. Change dust bag.
2. Replace belt.
3. Clean body or nozzle hose area.
4. Insert body hose.
5. Replace agitator.
6. Replace body or nozzle hose.
7. Properly install dust cover.
8. Install belt on motor shaft.
1. Properly install bag.
2. Replace bag.
1. Properly install secondary filter
