Itching may occur if:
• Irritable material or clothing is used between Thumper® and the skin
(e.g. synthetic materials).
• Left in one spot too long (over 60 seconds).
• The relative humidity of the environment is quite low, during the dry
winter months, for instance.
Tickling: In the legs, tickling is a normal reaction. Tickling will subside
after approximately 5-10 seconds with Thumper® "Parked". Feet will not
tickle if Thumper® is used on self, but may tickle when a person places
it on another person's feet.
Controls
Plugging In: To reduce the risk of electric shock, Thumper® may have
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). If so, this plug will
fit in a polarized outlet only one-way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install a proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
operating your massager: Thumper® Maxi Pro has 2 different
controls for adjusting the strength of the massage. (1) Variable Speed
Dial (2) Impact Adjuster Dial.
The variable speed dial controls the speed or frequency of from
approximately 18 pulses per second at the lowest setting (speed 1) to
35 pulses per second at the highest setting (speed 5). You can select
any speed within this range at any time to find your ideal comfort setting.
The impact adjuster dial which doubles as one of the large massage
spheres on your Thumper® Maxi Pro has four settings each indicated
by a different sized dot - ranging from small to large. The speed does
not change with this adjustment, nor does the depth of stroke. What
changes is the firmness of the impact. The smallest dot has the softest
impact whereas the largest dot has the stiffest impact.
The difference in firmness is hardly noticeable on most people. It can
only be felt when used on very thin people where the unit will bounce
and jitter as it contacts a bone. In comparison, the unit will bounce and
jitter less when used with the softest setting (smallest dot). If the setting
is still too strong, use a folded towel to further reduce the impact.
• Turn Thumper® off before adjusting impact adjuster dial
• If you have difficulty turning the impact adjuster dial, try using a
rubber glove for added grip

Carico: Thumper® è progettato per funzionare al meglio con il suo solo
peso. Applicare un peso eccessivo al massaggiatore risulterà in un inde-
bolimento dell'azione di percussione. Ciò è dovuto al fatto che Thumper®
deve far vibrare le sfere massaggianti contro il muscolo, un po' come
suonare un tamburo. Se si applica troppa forza o un peso eccessivo, il
funzionamento viene soffocato o limitato, e la vibrazione penetra meno, non
più. Tutti i prodotti Thumper® sono progettati con una sicurezza di sovrac-
carico per prevenire danni all'apparecchio o all'utente. In alcuni prodotti la
potenza viene semplicemente ridotta fino a quando il carico torna a livelli
normali, in altri l'apparecchio si spegne e dev'essere resettato.
Temperatura: la temperatura interna dell'apparecchio dipende da di-
verse variabili: temperatura ambiente, tempo di funzionamento e carico. Il
calore eccessivo generato a causa del sovraccarico del sistema farà salire
rapidamente la temperatura del nucleo motore. Il funzionamento prolun-
gato ad alta temperatura logorerà prematuramente le componenti e potrà
danneggiare il motore. Tutti i prodotti Thumper® hanno aperture di ventilazi-
one che permettono all'aria di circolare all'interno dell'apparecchio. Alcuni
modelli sono muniti di ventole di raffreddamento. Tutti i prodotti Thumper®
sono progettati con una sicurezza di surriscaldamento per prevenire danni
all'apparecchio o all'utente. Qualora la temperatura dovesse salire ecces-
sivamente, l'apparecchio si spegnerà e dovrà essere lasciato raffreddare e
quindi resettato.
Manutenzione
Pulizia: se le superfici esterne dovessero sporcarsi, pulitele con un panno
inumidito con un detergente delicato. Non usare diluenti, benzina o altri
solventi. Thumper® non richiede manutenzione, essendo costruito con
cuscinetti a sfere sigillati e lubrificati in modo permanente. Non occorre
ulteriore lubrificazione. Thumper® non contiene parti sulle quali l'utente
possa intervenire.
Isolamento elettrico: Thumper® è un prodotto a doppio isolamento.
Un prodotto a doppio isolamento contiene due sistemi isolanti anziché
