Making Calls Using the Phone Dialer
From a Home screen panel, touch

Touch the Phone tab to display the Dialer keypad, then

enter the digits of the telephone or speed dial number.
While dialing, press the

• Add to contacts to add to the contacts list .
• Add 2-sec pause to insert a 2-second pause in the telephone
number.
• Add wait to insert a Wait pause in the telephone number, to pause
dialing to wait for input.

Dialing Emergency Numbers
When you call an Emergency Number, such as 911, your phone
locks itself in emergency mode, only allowing you to make calls
to the emergency call center you originally contacted. This
enables emergency operators to more easily dispatch aid, such
as police, fire fighting, and emergency medical personnel.
You can specify other numbers than 911 as emergency numbers
Phone.
Menu Key, then touch:
using the Emergency # settings. (For more information, refer to
"Emergency Calls" on page 108.)
Important!: DO NOT depend on this phone as a primary method of calling
911 or for any other essential or emergency communications.
From a Home screen panel, touch

Important!: Emergency number 911 is preset into your phone.
If you call 911, an Emergency Call prompt displays on the screen
for the duration of the call.
In a crisis situation, you can aid emergency personnel in finding
you by setting Emergency tone to Alert or Vibrate. (For more
information, refer to "Emergency tone" on page 85.)
Touch
to place the call.

Important!: Because of various transmission methods, network parameters,
and user settings necessary to complete a call from your
wireless phone, a connection cannot always be guaranteed.
Therefore, emergency calling may not be available on all
wireless networks at all times.
