♦
Unscrew the safety cap (7) (Fig. 1).
♦
Fill the boiler tank with about 37 fl oz (1.1l) of water using the appropriate filler funnel (Q).
♦
Screw the cap back on (7).
IMPORTANT: Screw the cap on carefully, making sure it has seated properly, to prevent leakage.
The filler cap is a safety feature and must be propely closed before generating steam.
Ordinary tap water may be used. However, since water contains lime scale by nature, which
may cause scaling in the long run, we recommend using a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled
water or bottled spring water. Never use 100% distilled water or bottled spring water but always mix them
with 50% tap water. To use tap water only and avoid scale formation, we recommend periodically adding
the special natural scale removal agent Kalstop FP 2003. Pour half vial of Kalstop into the boiler tank
containing the recommended quantity of water. If your water supply is particularly hard, you may
want to use more (such as 1 vial for 34 fl oz / 1 liter of water).
IMPORTANT: Never use water from clothes dryers, refrigerators, batteries or air conditioners, pure di-
stilled water, rain water or additives such as scented water, perfume, stain remover or products con-
taining alcohol or other chemical products other than KALSTOP FP2003.
Do not put any detergent or chemical substance in the boiler tank.
