Installation

3.1

Preparatory work:

Before starting the installation, check that all required products are complete and functional.
Correctly mount/deburr or check profile cutouts, hardware drill holes and cable bushings in
accordance with Appendix A3 or the relevant enclosed installation instructions.
Thoroughly remove swarf.
Attention electronics: make sure the lock recess is free of swarf and clean!
Pull in cable on the safeguarded side of the door without bending or buckling it, and provide for a
sufficiently large cable loop (~ 50 mm).
Protect the cable against abrasion!
(Recommendation: use protective hose B 5490 0308)
Provide a cable disconnection point in the area of the cable link to make it easier to remove the door.
Max. cable length from the lock to the controller / junction box is 10m (length of pre-assembled
cable), in addition, larger cable cross-sections may be required to prevent voltage drops on the
connection cable (see fig. 2).
