1.5 FIXING OF MAST TO SOIL
DO NOT START THE ENGINE BEFORE FASTENING THE MAST ON THE GROUND.
Before starting to work it is very important to fix the skid solidly to the ground, to avoid overtur-
ning the drill rig.
Place the drill rig in a level area of the ground and proceed as follows.
Put the mast in an upright position, check the drill rig levels
To avoid the movement of the drill rig during its operation, fix the machine to the ground with 4
pickets. Two of them will be nailed in the front area of the skid (1) and the other two in the rear
zone (2).
In case of fixing the machine in hard ground or in concrete, make holes and place concrete blo-
cks in the 4 holes.
Once the machine is properly fixed to the ground, it will be leveled by the front adjustment flan-
ge (3) between the mast and the frame.
