• You should never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of faults have the appli-
ance repaired only by qualified persons.

• During cleaning and operation the appliance should never be immersed in water or other
liquids. It should never be held under running water or other liquids.
• Never grasp the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
• Do not insert foreign objects into the housing.
• Under no circumstances should you open the housing.
• Before cleaning, and if the appliance is not to be used for a protracted period, always
disconnect the plug.
• Do not place the appliance on cooking surfaces (gas, electric or coal-fired cookers). Keep
the appliance away from all hot surfaces.
• The appliance should always be operated on a level, stable, clean, fire-proof, dry surface
and out of reach of children and mentally retarded persons.
• Position the appliance in such a way that mains switch and plug are accessible at all times.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or when standing on wet ground.
