BLADE REMOVAL
Never work under the implement, or any lifted component unless the imple-
ment is securely supported or blocked to prevent sudden or inadvertant falling
which can cause serious injury or death.
The replacement of the blades must be done using maximum caution, and always with the tractor shut off and the dri-
veshaft disconnected from the tractor. Raise the mower body to the maximum height possible with the tractor power-
lift so as to allow you to work properly on the underneath part of the mower.
1. Support the raised machine with suitable supports under the mower frame and support the raised machine with a
suitable over head hoist capable of supporting the implements weight.
2. Remove the Blade Bolt, Cup Washer, Blade and Blade Washer.
BLADE INSTALLATION (Figure 5-6)
1. Place the cup washer on the blade bolt with the convex side to the blade bolt head.
2. With the blade cutting edge toward the ground and the offset up, place the blade bolt with the cup washer through
the blade.
3. Place the smooth side of the blade washer to the top of the blade inserting the blade bolt through the blade washer.
4. Start the blade bolt in the spindle aligning the blade washer with the spindle housing.
5. Torque the blade bolt to 75 ft./lbs.
