MINIMUM WATER CONTENT
RECOMMENDED, FOR VERSIONS
WITHOUT THE HYDRONIC KIT
The minimum water content of the system
recommended for units without hydronic
kits is calculated on the basis of this for-
mula:
Volume = PFN
x 4
= System litres
(kW)
(l)
PFN: Rated cooling capacity
The result of this is the minimum water
content necessary for the correct operation
of the system.
11.3
MAXIMUM WATER CONTENT
RECOMMENDED
In the table below, the maximum con-
tent is indicated in litres of water of the
hydraulic system, compatible with expan-
sion tank capacity supplied as part of the
standard equipment (IN VERSIONS WITH
ACCUMULATION OR VERSIONS ONLY
WITH PUMP). The values indicated in the
table refer to three maximum and mini-
mum water temperature conditions. If
the actual water content of the hydraulic
system (including the accumulation tank)
exceeds the level indicated in the table
referred to the operating conditions, an
additional scaled expansion tank must
be installed, using the usual criteria, with
respect to the additional water volume.
In the following tables, the maximum con-
tent values of the system can be obtained
also for other operating conditions with
glycol water.
The values are obtained by multiplying the
reference value by the correction coeffi-
cient.
11.4
EXPANSION TANK CALIBRATION
The standard value of the expansion tank
pre-charge pressure is 1.5 bar, maximum
value 6 bar.
The tank must be calibrated according to
the maximum difference in height (H) of
the device (see figure) according to the
formula:
p (calibration) [bar] = H [m] / 10.2 + 0.3.
For example, if the disparity value H is equi-
valent to 20 m, the tank calibration value
will be 2.3 bar.
If the calibration value obtained from the
calculation is lower than 1.5 bar (this is H <
12.25), keep the standard calibration.

KEY:
(1) Check that the highest device does
not exceed the 55 m of difference in
height.
(2) Check that the device in the lowest
position can bear the agent global
pressure at that point.
