Cause: The pump runs against the insulating air cushion.
remedy: Stationary wet-well installation:
Ventilate backflow preventer via adjusting screw.

Tighten adjusting screw again after ventilation.
If it is very difficult for the customer to access the
–
backflow preventer, raise the pump on the chain
approx. 3 cm and wait until no more air bubbles
appear. Lower pump again.
Stationary, horizontal dry installation:
Ventilate flange pipe (fig. 2c, pos. 19) by opening
–
stop valve (pos. 20). Close stop valve again after
ventilation.

remedy: Stationary, vertical dry installation:
Ventilate backflow preventer via adjusting screw, or
–
on pipe bend (fig. 2d pos. 4B) by opening
valve, (pos. 20). Tighten adjusting screw/stop valve
again after ventilation.
