· If the pulleys are aligned, then tighten the
motor fasteners and go to Step 20.
· If the pulleys are NOT aligned, then perform
steps 17-19.
17. Loosen the motor or cutterhead pulley set
screws and move the pulleys in or out as need-
ed to bring them into alignment.
18. Tighten the pulley set screws.
19. Lower the motor to increase belt tension,
tighten the motor mount bolts and recheck
pulley alignment.
20. Install the front panel (Figure 14) onto the
cabinet with (10) #10-24 x 3/8" flange screws,
making sure the panel is installed on the same
side as the motor fan.
21. Install the switch
assembly onto the
front panel with four
#10-24 x 3/8" flange
screws, as shown in
Figure 15.
22. Attach the dust
port to the left cabi-
net panel and dust
chute with four
#10-24 x 3/8" flange
screws, as shown in
figure 16.
23. Thread two #10-24 x 3/8" flange screws half
way into the cabinet right panel, slide the push
block holder over the screws, secure the arm

with a third #10-24 x 3/8" flange screw, then
tighten all the screws (Figure 17).

24. Remove the lock nut and flat washer (Fig-
ure 18) from the fence lock handle bolt, place
the fence on the jointer, and insert the bolt
through the slot in the carriage, making sure
the carriage fits over the key (Figure 19).
25. Secure the fence lock handle bolt with the
lock nut and flat washer removed in Step 24,
securing the fence lock handle in the position
shown in Figure 20.
26. Install the fence tilt lever.

27. Install the belt
guard on the cabinet
with the two M6-1 x
12 flange bolts, flat
washers, and hex nuts,
as show in Figure 21.
28. Insert the motor cord and motor cord plate
through the rectangular slot on the rear panel,
fasten the motor cord plate to the rear panel
with two #10-24 x 3/8" flange screws, and se-
cure the rear panel to the cabinet with (10)
#10-24 x 3/8" flange screws (Figure 22).

29. Install the rear guard onto the carriage with
the two Phillips head screws and flat washers
already on the fence support, as shown in Fig-
ure 23.
