3.3
Start-up procedure
Normal Mode
3.3.1
1. Make sure that the mains power being used has appropriate voltage/frequency and 10A or 16A
upstream protection (depending on the power of the UPS).
2. Connect the power supply cable and the output Schuko multiple socket supplied to the In-
put-Output connector [3].
3. Connect the loads to the multiple socket, making sure that the switches of the various loads are
open.
Check that the UPS is capable of handling the power of the loads.
4. Connect the power supply cable to a network socket appropriate for the required voltage and
current, making sure to comply with the indications of chapter 2.
5. The UPS recharges its battery every time that it is connected to the power mains (even if
switched off ). It is recommended that the battery is charged for at least 4 hours before con-
necting the loads.
6. Press and immediately release the ON/OFF pushbutton [1]. After a short audible signal, the UPS
starts up.
7. At the start, the ups powers the output directly from the mains power through the bypass (sta-
tus indicator [2] yellow). After a few seconds, inverter switch takes place and normal operating
mode is established (status indicator [2] green).
8. Close the load switches and check that after the intervention of the bypass normal operation is
resumed, confirmed by the status indicator [2] turning green.
In case of extended overload, the UPS remains in bypass and the status indicator [2] flashes
quickly red.
INDICATIONS
The UPS has an automatic restart function. In case of mains power interruption, after the UPS
has reached the end of the back-up time the load will be automatically powered when the mains
power is reinstated.
3.3.2 Starting-up using batteries
1. Make sure that the internal battery is fully charged.
2. Connect the loads to the Schuko multiple output socket, making sure that the switches of the
various loads are open. Check that the UPS is capable of handling the power of the loads.
3. Press and immediately release the ON/OFF pushbutton [1]. After a short audible signal, the UPS
starts up. The status indicator [2] turns yellow, and an intermittent audible signal is produced
every 20 seconds.
4. Close the load switches.
INDICATIONS
The first time that the UPS is switched on after the first installation it must be connected to the
mains.
Otherwise an error will be notified and the UPS will not start.
This function prevents the possibility of accidental switching on during transport.
