COMPONENTS DESCRIPTION
CHASSIS AND COVER PANELS
Made of zinc-plated steel sheet, hot-painted with polyurethane
powders after passivating treatment, it can resist the action of
atmospheric agents for long periods.
Color RAL 9002.
FAN ASSEMBLY
IDROBLOC C - The fan unit consists of a centrifugal fan
directly operated by the asynchronous single-phase motor with
internal thermal protection.
The delivery can be linked to a channel.
It is provided with a protection grille with protection degree
IP20.
COOLING CIRCUIT
Made of soft copper pipe welded with silver alloy.
The IDROBLOC 3C units have a capillary tube for the lamina-
tion while the IDROBLOC 5C and 8C units have a thermostatic
valve.
COMPRESSOR
The high-efficiency, hermetically sealed and acoustically insu-
lated compressor, is driven by an electric motor with thermal-
ammeter type protection and is mounted on vibration damping
elastic supports.
The IDROBLOC 3C units have a rotary compressor while the
IDROBLOC 5C and 8C Scroll are fitted with a scroll compres-
sor.
AIR-SIDE EXCHANGER
The heat exchange coil is made of internally grooved copper
tube and corrugated aluminium type fins.
WATER-SIDE EXCHANGER
The extremely compact, R407C-water, plate-type, heat exchan-
ger in AISI 316 stainless steel, is sized for a water flow with
temperature difference between input and output of up to 2 °C;
the exchanger is outside the storage tank.
The heat exchanger has a set of electrical elements for the anti-
freeze heating system.
WATER ACCUMULATION TANK
Used to reduce the number of start-ups of the compressor and
render the temperature of the water to be sent to the consumers
uniform.
It can be protected from freezing with the electrical element
accessory (RA).
ANTIFREEZE ELECTRIC HEATER
Standard electrical heating elements on the plate-type exchan-
ger to prevent the water from freezing when the system is not
working in the winter months.
An electrical heating element can be applied to the water sto-
rage tank, available as accessory (RA).
When the microprocessor activates the antifreeze protection, it
stops the compressor and the fan unit.
The antifreeze protection is only active if the Idrobloc is fed
with electric current even in the cold periods.
PUMP
Allows water to be circulated in the user circuit.
EXPANSION TANK
Of the closed type, with a membrane, allows expansion of the
water in the plant.
TWO-WAY VALVE
The two-way valve prevents the water from flowing towards the
boiler when the compressor is active in cooling operation.
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
All the internal hydraulic parts and connections concerned by
low temperature water flow are suitably insulated.
Found at the bottom of the module are the hydraulic connec-
tions for the connection to the boiler (or to the hot water distri-
bution circuit, where applicable) and to the user circuit.
ELECTRIC PANEL
Contains the on / off switch, the power section and the mana-
gement of the checks and the safeties with microprocessor. Is
protected from the external by a open/shut door with protec-
tion degree IP54.
