4.7 Using the appliance

- Make sure that the gas valve and all water taps are shut off.
- Turn on the gas meter/LPG cylinder valve.
- Turn on the valve immediately before the appliance on the gas inlet pipe.
- Ensure that the appliance is receiving power (check the phase, neutral
and earth wires).
- When the appliance is powered the green LED (C) blinks with a frequen-
cy of 1 sec. ON and 5 sec. OFF, turn the dial (A) to position " ": the
green LED will  ash with equal frequency. Turning on the hot water dis-
pensing tap starts the circuit board ignition sequence once a  ame has
been detected; the green LED (C) will switch from  ashing to remaining
on at the end of the withdrawal request, the unit is placed in stand-by
mode, the green LED (C) blinks to indicate that the appliance is available
for subsequent withdrawals.

Should the main burner accidentally be switched off during normal
operation, try turning on once again.
If the appliance does not begin operating again within 10 seconds,
the red LED (D) will light up.
- Should the electricity supply be interrupted accidentally, the solenoid
valves will intercept the gas  ow; when power is restored, the ignition
sequence is repeated.
- The air pressure switch monitors the correct evacuation of the products
of combustion and intake of the combustion air.
In case of anomalies in the inlet and outlet pipes, the pressure switch stops
the  ow of gas to the main burner. Once the anomaly has been recti ed, the
appliance resumes normal operation.
USING THE WATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL POTENTIOMETER
The temperature of the requested hot water can be selected by turning the
knob (B).
The requested temperature can be provided with a tolerance of ±2°C with
respect to the value shown in the graph.
WATER OVERTEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE
The appliance is  tted with a device which monitors the temperature of
the water as it leaves the heat exchanger. The device consists of a safety
thermostat which interrupts appliance operation by intercepting the  ow of
gas to the main burner when the water  owing into it exceeds a preset
temperature.
Should the device be activated, the appliance will not work. The red warning
light (D) will  ash at intervals of 0.5 seconds.
To restore the operation of the appliance, manually turn the dial (A) to posi-
tion "
" and then position " ".
If the device a continuously activates, seek the intervention of a quali ed
technician of our Technical Assistance Centre.
If there is a chance that the temperature in the area where the appliance is
installed may fall below zero, drain the water from the appliance.
To do so, shut off the cold water supply tap and turn on the user hot and
cold water taps.
