Delay Appliance Load ( L3): The refrigerator
responds toaDAL s ignal by providing a
moderate load r eduction for t he duration ofthe
delay period.
This f unction controls functions that c onsume
alot o fenergy such a sadjusting the Cooling
system, running the defrost cycle, and making
ice.
When the refrigerator operates inDAL ( L3)
mode, "L3" i sdisplayed onthe refrigerator
display.
DAL m ode isautomatically deactivated after
itlasts forthe amount oftime s tipulated by
the DAL s ignal (max. 4.5 hours) orwhen the
Override key ispressed.
Temporary Appliance Load R eduction (L4):
The refrigerator responds toaTALR s ignal by
aggressively reducing the load f or a short time
period.
This f unction reduces energy consumption by
stopping the compressor and controlling the
functions that consume alot o fenergy such a s
the defrost cycle and making ice.)
When the refrigerator operates inTALR ( L4)
mode, "L4" i sdisplayed onthe refrigerator
display.
TALR ( L4) mode isautomatically deactivated
after itlasts f or t he received duration (rnax. 15
minutes), orwhen t he Override key ispressed.
The mode isimmediately deactivated and the
refrigerator returns tothe normal state w hen
the door i sopened orclosed, orthe dispenser
isused.
Override Mode
When you want the refrigerator to ignore the
SMART GRID (Demand Response) signal from
the Utility Company, you can activate OVERRIDE
mode.
When you activate OVERRIDE mode, the
refrigerator ignores the SMART GRID (Demand
Response) signal and is not controlled by the Utility
Company.
Activating and deactivating Override
mode
1. Press and hold the [Energy Saver] button for 3
seconds.
2. A buzzer sounds and 'Or' and 'on' is displayed
in the freezer and fridge temperature displays
for 5 seconds.
3. If the refrigerator receives a SMART GRID
(Demand Response) signal from the Utility
Company, 'Or' is displayed in the freezer
temperature display.
4. To deactivate OVERRIDE mode, press and hold
the [Energy Saver] button for 3 seconds.
5. A Buzzer sound is played and 'Or' and 'oF' is
displayed in the freezer and fridge temperature
displays for 5 seconds.
Alternatively, you can activate or
deactivate OVERRIDE mode using the
app.
