PERATION
MENU SELECTIONS
NOTE: The following is an example of menu selections. Some selections may not be available
depending on the disc being played.
LANGUAGE
PLAYER MENUS – Change the language being displayed on the screen menus.
DISC MENUS – Change menu language selections available on disc.
DISC AUDIO – Change audio language selections available on disc.
DISC SUBTITLES – Change from off to language selections available on disc.
SPEAKER
NOTE: Speaker options must be setup when the unit is first installed for the speaker output to
function properly. See INSTALLATION for detail on setting speakers.
SPEAKER TYPE; Selects speaker size or if used.
Front – Select between Small or Large, Center – Select between None, Small or Large
Surround – Select between Small or Large, Subwoofer – Select between Off or On.
SPEAKER LEVEL; (default is 0db) Selectable between -10db to +10db
Center, Front Left, Front Right, Left Surround, Right Surround and Subwoofer
SPEAKER DELAY; Adjusts ms (millisecond) delay for speaker output.
Dolby Digital Center – 0 to 5ms (default 0), Dolby Digital Surround – 0 to 15ms (default 5),
Pro Logic Surround – 15 to 30ms (default 20).
DR COMPRESSION (Dynamic Range) – Select between Off, Half or Full. This feature only usable
on Dolby Digital encoded discs.
RESET TO DEFAULTS – Resets all speaker defaults
DISPLAY
PREFERRED VIDEO STANDARD – Select between Content Specific, NTSC or PAL.
TV ASPECT – Select between 16:9 Widescreen, 4:3 Letterbox or 4:3 Pan & Scan.
ON SCREEN INFO – Select between Off or On. Turns information window off or on that appears
in upper right corner.
COMPONENT OUT – Select between RGB or YUV. Not usable.
PARENTAL
COUNTRY – Select between International or USA. Changes Parental Level selection.
PARENTAL LEVEL – (International) Select between Off, Kids, 2 thru 7, or Adult. (USA) Select
between Off, G, 2, PG, PG-13, 5, R, NC-17 and X.
PASSWORD – Select to enter a password.
1. Press and hold SURR (Surround) until SHF appears in clock display.
2. Enter a four (4) number password code.
3. Once a password has been entered, it must be reentered to change the Parental Level.
CHANGE PASSWORD – Available only if a Password has been entered.
PBC (PlayBack Control)
Used only for Video-CDs. When set to On, it allows the selection of menus and buttons.
