Table widener
Fitting the table widener (usually on the right-hand
side of the table) widens the saw table on the CS 50
EB/CMS GE by 410 mm.
Fitting
- Lower the table widener into position at an angle,
locating both plastic brackets (1.1) in the groove
(1.2) on the saw table.
Caution: the retaining plates (1.3) must be moved
to the rear position (away from the saw table).
- Swivel the table widener downwards and insert
the ends of the two supporting arms (2.3) into the
elongated holes (2.4) on the bench chassis
- Secure the supporting arms with the two knurled
nuts (2.5)
- Slide both retaining plates (2.1) up to the stop
on the saw table and tighten both rotary knobs
(2.2).
Removal
Removal should proceed in reverse order to the
fi tting process. Do not forget to slide the retaining
plates (2.1) to the rear position before removing the
table widener.
Height adjustment
- Unscrew both rotary knobs (2.2).
- Turn both Allen screws (3.1) until the saw table
and the table widener are at the same height.
- Tighten the rotary knobs (2.2).
Adjusting the gradient
- Unscrew the lock nuts (2.7) on both supporting
arms
- Turn both nuts (2.6) until the saw table and the
table widener form a level surface (Note: Check
this by placing a straight rule across the saw table
and table widener).
- Tighten the lock nuts (2.7).
Adjusting the scale
- Unscrew the fastening screws (3.2).
- Slide the scale on the table widener (3.3) up to the
scale on the saw table.
- Tighten the fastening screws (3.2).
Alignment of the V-groove
Check after installation whether the pre-set profi le
setting rail can be pushed without any problems
between saw table and table widener.
If not:
- Position the pre-set profi le setting rail so that it
makes equal contact with the saw table and the
table widener.
- Unscrew the lock nuts (2.6/2.7) on both supporting
arms
- Secure the angle stop in the specifi ed position.
- Tighten the lock nuts (2.6/2.7).
Table lengthener
VB-CS 50/VB-CMS
For more secure support when sawing longer work-
pieces, a table lengthener can be fi tted to extend the
CS 50 EB/CMS GE saw table by 420 mm.
- The table lengthener is fi tted to the back of the
When the sliding table is installed, the extension
cannot be fi tted.
Fitting
- Secure both retainers (4.2) to the table chassis
- Unscrew both rotary knobs (5.1).
- Mount the table lengthener from above at an angle,
- Swivel the table widener downwards and insert
- Push down the table lengthener to the end position
- Tighten the rotary knobs (6.1) and knurled nuts
