HOW TO USE YOUR CLEANING
SYSTEM

To Start
Your
Cleaning
System
To start your engine-powered cleaning system for the
first time, follow these instructions step-by-step This
information also applies whenever you start the engine
after you have let the pressure washer sit idle for at
least a day.

Place pressure washer near an outside water
source capable of supplying water at a flow rate
greater than 35 gallons per minute and no less
than 20 PSI at pressure washer end of garden
hose.

Check that high pressure hose is tightly connected
to spray gun and pump. See "Assembling Your
Pressure Washer" for illustrations.

Make sure unit is in a level position.

Connect garden hose to water inlet on pressure
washer pump. Turn ON water.
CAUTION
• Damage to equipment will result from failure to follow
this instruction,

Squeeze trigger on gun to purge pump system of
air and impurities.

Place quick connect spray tips in slots on holder
attached to nozzle extension.

Attach nozzle extension to spray gun. Tighten by
hand.

Choose desired spray tip and insert into nozzle
extension. See "How to Use Spray Tips ".

Engage the safety latch to the spray gun trigger.

10. Move throttle lever to "Fast _ position, shown here
as a rabbit.

11. Move choke lever to "Choke _ position.
NOTE: For a warm engine, be sure the choke lever is
in the "Run _ position.
12. Grasp handle and pull recoil starter lightly until you
feel some resistance, then pull briskly.
13. Return recoil starter slowly. DO NOT let rope
"snap back" against starter.
14. When engine starts, slowly move choke lever to
"Run" position, as engine warms. If engine falters,
move choke lever to "Choke" position, then to
"Run" position.
15. If engine fires, but does not continue to run,
squeeze trigger on spray gun to relieve internal
pump pressure. Move choke lever to "Run"
position, and repeat steps 12 through 14.
16. If engine fails to start after six pulls, move choke
lever to "Run" position, and repeat steps
12 through 14.
NOTE: Always keep the throttle lever in the "Fast"
position when operating the pressure washer.
CAUTION
• Squeeze triggeron spray gun each time recoil starter is
pulled and engine fails to start.
How to Stop Your Cleaning
System
Move throttle lever to "Stop" position.
Squeeze trigger on the spray gun to relieve
pressure
in the hose.
NOTE: A small amount of water will squirt out when
you release the pressure.
Rotate the Dial-A-Cleaner

selector knob to the
OFF position to prevent chemical leakage,
